I had a great stay at a lovely lodge near iconic landmarks and a quiet neighborhood. The room was clean with all the necessary amenities. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were friendly. Despite a couple of small drawbacks, I would definitely recommend this place.

Quiet & clean. Cooked breakfast was a bonus as were the newspapers.
I really didn't like the television being on in the breakfast room. I turned it off after asking if anyone would mind & everyone agreed that they would prefer it off. Then the girl came in who was doing the cleaning up & just switched it back on again without asking anyone! I don't see why we have to be subjected to the noise of a television at breakfast as none of the other guests seemed to watch it.

The free newspaper in the morning.
The facilities are dated and the room was very basic and needed a referb. The tv did not work properly, the fridge was extremely noisy and we had to turn it off to sleep and the bed could do with replacing. The breakfast was very fatty and you had to wait quite a while for more food. There was no fresh fruit only tined. The staff on reception were very grumpy and barely smiled and never said hello without prompting. The toilets needed to be cleaned more and were disgusting after 8am in the morning. The room was not serviced and our used coffee cups were still in the room 3 days later and not cleaned.

I recently stayed at Glenferrie Lodge for a conference and was pleasantly surprised. The rooms may be small, but they offer all the necessary comforts. The breakfast buffet, although limited after 9 o'clock, was plentiful and of good quality. I appreciated the free wifi and access to a computer for guests. The hotel's garden was a beautiful and peaceful spot to relax.
Would be happy to recommend this hotel.

Peaceful surroundings, close to many places of interest for us. Authentic building-once hospital built especially at the time of the building of the Harbour bridge, which looms close by. It is rambling, spacious, we were able to open windows for fresh air.. Easy access to public transport-ferry, train, bus.Good for walking . Harbour views either from the lodge itself, or just down the road. The city is just across the harbour. Luna Park is not far away....the lights (but not the noise ) can be seen as you amble round under the bridge.

On a quiet location only ten minutes on the ferry away from the Circulair Quay (and central Sydney). Breakfast is good.
Made two short visits within a week. On the first visit I did not get the room as booked via your site. The second visit I did get the advertised room. So, please keep in mind you may not get the room as booked.

I had an amazing time at this lodge. the staff were superbly friendly and the facilities and room were very clean. the location is super convenient, just steps away from ferries in one of the most scenic and sought after suburbs. the breakfast buffet had a wide variety of delicious options. the outdoor areas were a great place to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. I highly recommend this lodge for a stress-free and enjoyable stay. Cons: Nothing, everything was great. 👍.

Not value for money. very very low standard of accommodation. Wouldn't stay again. Wet areas dangerous. Wet walkways dangerous. First room offered you couldn't swing a cat, muchless put a suitecase down. Nothing about this place was at a standard expected.

It was the first time I stayed in Sydney North, the Lodge was clean and had an atmosphere of being warm and friendly. I like the communal help yourself buffet breakfast in the mornings. People appeared at ease and liking their experience too. My room was clean and tidy and the noise level was perfect for catching good quality sleep.Thank you. I have put Glenferrie Lodge into my future reference of a economic place to stay while enjoying Sydney.
